Brioche was founded by Jean-Philippe Kayobotsi and Alice Van Mierlo in 2013, in Kigali, Rwanda. The focus was to become an excellent African-Eurpean cafe-bistro and an inspiring African brand.

Since then, Brioche has grown to six cafes, including a beautiful location in Nairobi, Kenya.

The key focus at Brioche has always been quality food and high standards in terms of food health and safety. These important aspects have allowed Brioche to become one of the most recognisable restaurant brands in Rwanda, and in East Africa as a whole.
